The world of professional rodeo includes much more than the mainstream associations such as the PRCA and the PBR.  The contestants of those associations are well known and some of those have become household names.  With that being said, another professional rodeo association should be held at the same level since it consists of some of the top rodeo athletes that serve and protect our freedoms each and every day in our United States military.  The Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association deserves some recognition among the best rodeo organizations in the country as well.

The best of the best rodeo athletes in the Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association came together this last weekend for its 2105 PAFRA World Finals that was held in Midland, Texas.  The star rodeo athletes include members from each and every branch of the military and they did not fail in providing some first class rodeo action for all the fans in attendance to support our military members in their quest to be crowned 2015 PAFRA World Champions.  Those competing included Purple Heart Recipients that held their own among some of the very best in the rodeo industry that are serving our country!

Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association and Purple Heart recipient Chris Skeeters has worked hard all year to make it to the World Finals, which he did, and make a run at the World Championship.  This young man is such an inspiration to everyone that is, has been or will be around him and his attitude is infectious in and out of the rodeo arena.  After being injured protecting our freedoms as Americans he decided he was not going to let his injury prevent him from continuing to be active in a sport that he has loved for many year, professional rodeo.

Chris Skeeters had the attitude of a true champion all season long and topped it all off with a fantastic PAFRA World Finals this last weekend in Midland, Texas.  As a member of the Warriors And Rodeo organization he had the support of almost all of those in attendance as he started his journey to claim a World Championship belt buckle and title.  At the end of the weekend Skeeters wound up winning the Reserve World Champion Bull Riding title and checking a much anticipated honor off of his bucket list.

All of us at the Rodeo Round Up would like to say a huge congratulations to Chris and all the other warriors that fought hard and made it to the 2015 Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association World Finals!  We would also like to express our extreme gratitude to all those that continue to protect our freedoms each and every day so that we all can enjoy the things that we take for granted and being able to continue following the sport of professional rodeo for years to come!
