After five nights, the 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is slowly beginning to take shape as to the aggregate and, in a few cases, the overall World Championship title. We have seen both heartaches and record-breaking things happen before our very eyes down on the arena floor of the Thomas & Mack so far this week. That being said, the action so far here this week is setting up the back half of this year’s WNFR as something that you will not want to miss.
Any one of the fifteen contestants in their respective events came into Las Vegas with the chance to take home hundreds of thousands of dollars with a solid 10 days of runs or rides. This year is a little different at the WNFR as no one event has more than four returning WNFR contestants, so a majority of those competing here this week are WNFR rookies. This brings a whole new feel of excitement into the ten days of action as the contestants rub their enthusiasm off on the 17,000 plus fans that fill the arena each night!
Over the past five days, we have brought you some of the best viewing parties that are available to you at no charge around town and tonight we carried on that tradition as we headed to Freemont Street. Our first stop, where we took in the sixth round action of the 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo was at the home of the Wright family, The D Hotel and Casino. Not only can you watch the action here each night but you can meet the ENTIRE Wright family each and every day at the official autograph signings that take place.
Along with a very nice and comfortable place to watch the WNFR live stream, this has been the place with the best prices on drinks for those of you that are looking for a place that will give you a deal. Along with a fun atmosphere and cheap drinks, the D offers some national quality country music acts for your enjoyment free of charge as well! All in all, it was one of the best viewing parties that we have visited and will definitely be back again later this week!

Tonight was a night to where those having a great week continued to do so as the front-runners in the aggregate hunt began to distance themselves from the rest of the field. This is important as the winner of each of the aggregate races in each event earns a cool $67,269 for first place. This amount of money could play a huge role in determining who will walk out of Las Vegas as the 2017 PRCA World Champion in their respective events. Beginning tonight, we will start to keep track of the aggregate race along with the round winners that will be listed below.
In a night where quick runs were made and solid rides were put down, it would be the event of team roping that would take center stage as they put up the fastest times we have seen all week thus far. A winning round time of 3.7 seconds would be shared by two teams here in round six but that would not be the biggest story of the night. That story would be that tonight if you were not under a 4.1 run you would not be able to earn any money as there was a three-way split for the 5th and 6th place with a staggering 4.1 second time!
