Brazilian bull rider Silvano Alves once again claimed a World Championship title making him one of the elite bull riders by claiming the top spot three times so far in his career.  There was a lot of talk around to world as to if Alves did the right thing in a earlier round by declining a re-ride and taking a low 60’s score when the title race was so close.  He silenced all of his critics by being only the second bull rider in PBR history to cover all 6 of his bulls at the World Finals, winning this year’s event title as well, along with J.B. Mauney who has done it twice.  By riding all of his bulls he claimed the event title as well and became the fastest man in PBR history to claim 3 World Championship titles and also became the richest man in western sports history banking over 5 million dollars so far in his some what young career!  Listen to the video below as Jason caught up with the champ to see what he had to say following the 2014 PBR World Finals!

While the 2014 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series World Champion was crowned another world champion gained a very distinctive title as well.  Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association’s 4-time bull riding World Champion J.W. Harris a three event invitation to the BFTS earlier this year and has not looked back since.  When we talk about a Rookie of the Year winner his name would be the farthest from what we consider a rookie but with this being his first year riding for the Professional Bull Riders association that is exactly what he was considered.  Harris took it upon himself to win the “Rookie of the Year” title and look forward to his bull riding career ahead!

Although J.W. Harris came into the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series late in the year he has made quite the name for himself as he has done in the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association as well.  The Rodeo Round Up’s Jason Hetland had a chance to catch up with the 2014 PBR Rookie of the Year after the final round on Championship Sunday of the 2014 PBR World Finals.  We talked about everything from the oxymoron of calling him, a 4-time World Champion, a Rookie of the Year and get his reaction to having that distinction.  We also hear directly from the champ himself as to what his plans are moving forward regarding the choices he is going to make about both associations as well as his thoughts between the two association’s finals and how he thinks they compare.  Listen below for yourself to see what J.W. Harris has to say as he stops by the Rodeo Round Up at the 2014 PBR World Finals!
