The PBR Cowboys Shine Again During Day Two At The Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic

Last night, everyone watching the action from their arena seats witnessed another spectacular round of action where the top bull riders in the world competed against the rankest bucking bulls in the business.  After a few re-ride opportunities, we were eventually able to crown a round one winner as young gun Jose Vitor Leme dominated the competition to earn his first round win of the 2018 season, months after smashing everyone else in his first PBR World Finals appearance.  It has been widely known that he has been experiencing some homesickness early on in the season but after last night it looks as if the young man has regained his composure and has re-centered his ability to make a run for another PBR World Finals qualification this coming November in Las Vegas!

Coming into tonight’s second round, it was a do or die moment for those bull riders that were unable to bring a score over into tonight’s action since seventeen of those were able to do just that, filling out the available 15 spots open for the Championship Round.  More than likely, anyone making it into the Championship Round tomorrow afternoon will need to do so with at least two qualified rides underneath their belt as the competition has been fierce here so far this weekend.  Time will tell who will have what it takes to continue their success or turn their weekend around as round two begins in just a few short hours as the Golden 1 Arena in Sacramento, California is set to explode with a sold-out crowd cheering on their favorite cowboys and bovine athletes of the Professional Bull Riders 25th Anniversary Monster Energy Unleash The Beast Tour!

Following a round one where we would see half of the attempts pan out to be qualified rides just 24-hours ago, tonight had the feeling that the outcome would not be as favorable for those competing.  There were several reasons for this feeling as the heavy hitters of stock contracting would make their mark upon the arena tonight.  Anytime you have two of the biggest names in the stock contracting business claiming a majority of the bovine athletes in one night, it makes you take a step back and ponder the dilemma that these thirty-five cowboys have against them in round two.  Both D&H Cattle Company and Chad Berger’s clan of bucking bulls would take center stage to bring these cowboys back to reality throughout the second round of action here inside of the Golden 1 Arena in Sacramento.

Once round two began, it was a display of bull power that would take center stage n Saturday night, although, moments of bull riding greatness were showcased as well when they were able to get the upper hand on the bovine athletes.  After all was said and done, we would not see the seventeen qualified rides that we saw 24-hours ago but still were able to watch fifteen impressive feats of athleticism happen before our very eyes as these would be added to the whopping total we saw in round one.  When things were all concluded Emilio Resende would be the man looking down on all others after claiming the round win with a solid 88 point ride as he matched up with Dakota Rodeo / Chad Berger / Clay Struve’s Shelly’s Gangster to head into tomorrow afternoon’s third and final round that would lay the groundwork for the Championship Round to happen moments later!

When round two concluded earlier tonight, the weekend, and the night for that matter, was far from over as the top fifteen bull riders in the world standings began to prepare for a wind storm that was set to take place before them.  Immediately following round two, the fans watching the event live would be treated to another edition of a 15/15 Bucking Battle performance and as the fans studied over the list of match-up’s the buzz around the arena was one of huge rides and low numbers.  One of those pairings that would be in the spotlight would be that of Derek Kolbaba and Smooth Operator, a battle of wills that people have been waiting to see, and earlier tonight those waiting got just what they were hoping for as the two matched up for the first time in their careers!

Kolbaba would be the first rider out as the 15/15 Bucking Battle commenced, being slammed down to the arena floor prior to the eight-second buzzer, giving Smooth Operator a solid 44.75 point bull score.  That being said, out of the fifteen bull riders competing, there would only be one that would make a qualified ride and earn some extra world title race points heading into tomorrow afternoon’s Championship Sunday performance full of grit and determination!  Being the only qualified ride of the 15/15 Bucking Battle round, Kaique Pacheco and D&H Cattle Company/David Huffman’s Jack Shot lit the crowd on fire with a round-winning ride and a huge score of 88.50 points following a round that the bovine athletes would dominate and that many will remember for many years to come!

After two strong days of intense bull riding action, the fans watching the action live inside of the Golden 1 Arena here in Sacramento, California left with dreams and thoughts of what they would see tomorrow afternoon to round out the 2018 Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic event.  As each round progresses, the bull power will get more and more rank making the chance to see the qualified rides numbers we have seen so far this year a little harder to come by.  We saw just that in the 15/15 Bucking Battle here earlier tonight and will again see the same outcome as the Championship Round rounds out the weekend’s event as we crown an event champion and see who will walk out of here earning enough points to keep them on tour through at least the first cut of the year!
