The Boyd Gaming Cinch Chute Out Brings World Champions Back Together Again

This year the Orleans Hotel and Casino play host to another top notch rodeo performance as the Boyd Gaming Cinch Chute-Out comes to town for three days of action.  The second annual event began earlier this afternoon as many of the top rodeo athletes that competed for the Elite Rodeo Athletes began their own quest for championship gold and money.  These cowboys and cowgirls have been missing from action across town as the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo takes place over at the Thomas & Mack

The notoriety and caliber of the rodeo athletes here these next three days are astounding and will surely give the fans the excitement and action that they are expecting.  Last year’s inaugural event started off with a bang, literally, as the fire alarms were sounded during the opening ceremonies and we received a visit from the fine firefighters here in Las Vegas.  Tonight we will kick things off with a bang as well but will focus on the athletic talent that will be seen here over the next three performances at the Orleans Hotel and Casino!

This year’s Boyd Gaming Cinch Chute Out started with an amazing opening ceremony that featured The Henderson, Nevada Police Department singing our nation’s National Anthem that set the tone for the action that was set to take place for the next two hours.  The first event of the afternoon was the rough and tumble sport of bareback riding that included some well-known names such as Casey Colletti and the legendary Bobby Mote along with six other very talented professional rodeo athletes.

Once all of the opening ceremonies concluded we were directed to turn our attention the bucking chute end of the arena where these eight gentlemen were set to take center stage.  After all of the dust settled and the bareback riding concluded it would be Bill Tutor would lead the rest of the field into tomorrow afternoon’s second round.  Tutor would manage to put up a solid 86 point ride and set himself up nicely to qualify for the Chute Out rounds Saturday afternoon!  See what he had to say about his round one performance in the interview I was able to do with him below.

The Boyd Gaming Cinch Chute Out, especially this year, seems to have the feeling of a star-studded affair with many of the most notable names in the sport of professional rodeo competing here at the Orleans.  Today we focus on just two of the events that are taking place over the next three days.  One of those events we will focus on today will be that of the big boys of steer wrestling that feature names such as Luke Branquihno and Hunter Cure just to name a couple.

Throughout today’s round one performance the contestants put on an amazing display of talent down on the beautiful arena floor at the Orleans Arena.  After things were all said and done it was one man that would lead the rest of the field into tomorrow afternoon’s round two.  Today that cowboy would be Sterling Lambert  who was able to lay down an astounding 3.87 second run.  Tomorrow afternoon’s round will determine who comes back to Saturday’s Chute Out rounds!  See what the man himself had to say about his round winning run in my exclusive interview I was able to do with him below!
