The Bull Power Ramped Up In Round Two At The 2017 Sioux Falls PBR With Another 15/15

Last night the third annual First Premier Bank Premier Bankcard Invitational began with a dominating performance that left the sold-out crowd wanting more.  As the action began we all quickly realized that this weekend would be the big let down that everyone was expecting last week when only six qualified rides were made.  Knowing that round one would set the tone it is safe to say that the remaining two days here in Sioux Falls will give us all something to watch as the world’s best bovine athletes will be on display.

On a night that we saw many new up and coming bucking bulls we saw the same type of outcomes that we have seen throughout the year when these 35 bull riders faced some of the best buckers that the ABBI had to offer during the “classic” rounds of competition.  The men in the locker room came into tonight with a huge chip on their shoulders and had the hopes of turning their weekend around in round two, expecting to have enough rides to cover the seven spots that award points each round, much less the fifteen spots that are up for grabs in the championship round tomorrow afternoon.

Cooper Davis Earns The Win In Round Two Here In Sioux Falls

Tonight’s pen of bucking bulls, when putting pen to paper, was the round that should be able to get the top 35 bull riders in the world back on track again.  After last night’s performance, the entire weekend is still very much up for grabs with each of those competing here a real shot at still being able to make it to tomorrow afternoon’s championship round.  Once the lights dimmed and the pyrotechnics began to fill the arena floor it was time to begin round two underneath the Saturday night lights!

Round two started off with a bang in a round that began with the always electric Stormy Wing was first to call for a chute gate followed by a night full of excitement.  The theme of the night seemed to be anxiousness and excitement as the capacity crowd excitedly watched each and every ride.  Once things were all said and done there would be a total of 14 qualified rides, 8 more than just 24-hours ago, that would make the field of 15 more of a reality.  That being said, the reigning PBR world champion Cooper Davis would take home the top ride of 89.50 points aboard Bob & Jeri Adams / D&H Cattle Company’s Udder Lover for the round two win.

As the dust settled and the smoke began to subside the arena floor started to come into full sight once again as the celebration began atop of the shark cage in the center of the arena.  Once the top fifteen bull riders in the world standings took their turns against their bovine counterparts there would only be 2 of them that would earn a qualified ride and some much-needed world championship points.  Tonight no one could put up the effort that Chase Outlaw did aboard Dakota Rodeo/Julie Rosen/Clay Struve/Chad Berger‘s Cooper Tires Brown Sugar for a 90.50 point ride and the 15/15 Bucking Battle win here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota!
