More WNFR Drama for Las Vegas

Very interesting developments that have come about as of the last two days.  Everyone has heard that the PRCA Board of Directors voted 6-3 to reject Las Vegas Events’ offer to extend the WNFR contract past the 2014 season.  But what you may not have heard is immediately following that vote the same Board of Directors voted to make a counteroffer to Las Vegas Events to keep the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in town past 2014.  While waiting to present the new offer the PRCA is also looking at other opportunities but do not want to pull the plug on their 29 year history quite yet.

Below is a link to a story out of Las Vegas explaining everything and talks about the counteroffer option as well as all the other options on the table to look at.  If you remember Sunday night when all this news broke I said that I did not believe that the WNFR would leave Las Vegas and things would work themselves out and all this was just a card game to see who can get the most leverage.  It looks like my predictions may be coming to light but there is still just under 90 days to make any offer final and only time will tell.  Here is the link to the story that explains everything as of now what is happening and what to expect.

Like I said before things are far from over …. let me know what you all think and I will keep you up to date on any breaking news that I find regarding the move of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo from Las Vegas.
