Wrangler National Finals Rodeo barrel racing qualifier Lisa Lockhart has a career topping day at the RFD-TV’s The American event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas.  The runs that she was going to make inside that arena would be part of history and she wanted to be a part of it as well by winning $100,000.  Her first run, a 13.983 qualified her for the “shoot out” round and gave her a chance to collect on the big payday she came here for.  In the “shoot out” round she was up against three “qualifiers” and they were running for their share of the $1 million dollars in prize money set aside for them winning the event.  The first three went and each tipped a barrel so Lisa knew that if she had a clean run, which was a 14.035,  she would be taking home a $100,000 check.  Jason Hetland and the Rodeo Round Up team caught up with Lisa Lockhart after her huge win in Arlington and talked about what this win meant to her career and family.  One thing that you should know is Lisa is a huge family person and it is really hard on her to be away from her family during the rodeo season and this big win helped soften that ache a little bit.  You can see her exclusive interview with the Rodeo Round Up right here as part of continuing coverage from the RFD-TV’s The American event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas!
