Who Qualified And Who WIll Be Vying For The World Champion Bull Title? … Find Out Here!!

As the 2015 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series World Finals draws closer we know, for a fact, who will be in Las Vegas as a qualifier and which bovine athletes will be competing with a clean slate for the title of World Champion Bucking Bull.  The PBR Headquarters made their decisions late last week and have made the appropriate announcements as to who will be in contention!  We have a complete list for you right here on the Rodeo Round Up so you can cheer on your favorite athlete or bucking bull as they perform at this year’s World Finals starting Wednesday October 21st inside the Thomas & Mack on the campus of the University of Nevada – Las Vegas!

There will be a total of seven bovine athletes vying for the title of World Champion Bucking Bull at this year’s World Finals and that list is very note worthy and include some of the most popular bucking bulls in the business.  These seven bucking bulls were selected to compete as part of a voting system by the top 35 bull riders in the world.  They single handedly decide which bulls will compete each year for the top dog and World Championship title.  Here is a breakdown of each bucking bull contender one by one:

Air Time

Jared Allen’s Air Time (Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Team)

  • Has Bucked off all eight riders he has faced this season including Mauney and Nunes (Twice)
  • Average bull score of 45.13
  • Has earned event high mark ride three times this season
  • Has posted one of the highest bull scores this season with a 47.50 score

roy

Roy (Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls)

  • Has displaced each of his six riders he as faced this year
  • Holds an 88.24 buckoff percentage throughout his carrer
  • Has gotten the high marked ride of the event twice this year
  • Earned a career high 46.25 point score in May at the Las Vegas Event
  • Is a half brother to the legendary bucking bull Bushwacker

Smooth Operator

Smooth Operator (Dakota Rodeo-Berger/Struve)

  • Has made 15 appearances this season
  • Holds a 95.45 buck off percentage for 2015 being ridden just once this season
  • Guilherme Marchi scored 83.50 points this year as he only covered ride
  • Holds a 22-1 record throughout his 3-year Built Ford Tough Series career

sweet pro long john

Sweet Pro’s Long John (D&H Cattle Co.)

  • Has made 26 outs throughout his BFTS career
  • Went 12-3 in 2015 for an average bull score of 45.29 points
  • Has a 82.61 percent buff off rating in his career
  • Earned the high point marked bull of events an astonishing four times this season

bruiser

Bruiser (D&H Cattle Co.)

  • Has previously been crowned ABBI Classic Champion Bucking Bull
  • Can make history by being the first bull to be crowned both ABBI and PBR World Champion
  • Has an average bull score of 44.76 and a buckoff rate of 84.38
  • A nice bull to draw as he has been ridden 6 of 8 times this season
  • Named high marked bull of one event this season with a 46.25 bull score

stone sober

Stone Sober (D&H Cattle Co.)

  • He has gone unridden this year with an 8-0 record
  • Has only been ridden once in his 30 out BFTS career (Resende, 88 points, 2013)
  • Has a 96.77 career buck off rate adn and average bull score of 44.00 points
  • Named the high marked bull twice this year

Jeremiah (Square Up-Smets/Dodson)

  • Is unridden in his 10 outs he has had in the 2015 season
  • Longest ride this year was Shane Proctor lasting only 6.14 seconds
  • Has a 13-0 career buck off record
  • Carries an average bull score in 43.92 points into this year’s World Finals

The top five riders on the BlueDEF Velocity Tour whether or not they were in the top 35 in the Built Ford Tough Series standings have also received an invitation to be a part of the 2015 PBR World Finals.  Since some of the top five were also in the top fo the BFTS standings two others were invited as well and those qualifiers are:

You can clearly see that this year will be a great year to watch the world title race on both the bovine and contestant sides of the fence.  Whoever takes these titles will have the honor of being named the very last World Champion that was crowned inside the Thomas & Mack as the World Finals event moves to its new venue starting in 2016!!
