The PBR’s World Finals Continued With Round Three Here In Las Vegas

sample3

Tonight’s round three of the 2016 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series World Finals marked the half way mark to the world championship here in Las Vegas.  Over the first two rounds of competition the bulls have proved dominant early on in each round but the cowboys came on strong later towards the end.  Each of the two nights seem to have almost the exact feel as round one had 12 qualified rides and round two produced 11 qualified rides heading into tonight’s round three.

Tonight the T-Mobile Arena was at a sold out capacity once again as the fans of the PBR flocked through the doors to witness some of the very best bull riding action in the world.  Tonight everyone, including the cowboys, expected things to turn in their favor after a grueling first two rounds as the “rider friendly” bull pen was due out tonight here in Las Vegas.  All those in attendance were expecting to see many more qualified rides as solid scores than we saw in the first two rounds, maybe even combined.

The one thing that almost everyone is laser focused on right now is the world championship race that is heating up big time after the first two rounds.  Last night both Kaique Pacheco, world number one, and Cooper Davis, world number two, bucked off early while world number three and defending PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney continued his hot streak while going two for two and earning 75 precious championship points.  The ride last night puts him one full bull ahead of the two ahead of him and just 525 points out of the world number one position coming into tonight’s third round.

Tonight we focus on the man in the top spot if the world champion points leader board, Kaique Pacheco, and his match-up with Rocking I Rodeo Company’s bucking bull Crazy Horse.  Pacheco has a history with his counterpart and knows how to get it done coming into tonight’s round already riding him twice in just as many attempts.  Tonight would be no different as this young Brazilian went toe to toe with the bovine to earn a huge 89 point ride putting him 2-for-3 on the week.

Tonight’s round gave the top 40 bull riders a little bit of a chance to breathe a little sigh of relief and offered them a chance to regain their composure following the first two rounds of competition.  Once the round began everyone inside of the sold out T-Mobile Arena was expecting many more qualified rides then they have seen in the previous two rounds where 12 qualified rides were made in round one and 11 in round two.  Tonight they could very well have matched the total 23 in one single round.

Once the action began down on the arena floor it was quickly noticed that tonight would be a game changer for some that were searching for a way to put up a score here this week.  Coming into tonight’s round the window of opportunity for anyone of the top 40 to make it to the championship round was wide open three more rounds to go before the field is set.  In tonight’s round it would be 13 who would make the buzzer but no one could beat the 89 point ride Kaique Pacheco put up atop Rocking I Rodeo’s Crazy Horse for the round win, $30,000 and the championship points that went along with it!

Before the action began and the top 40 bull riders in the world took center stage for round three we were once again treated to a exciting musical act, as we will be each and every round here this year.  Today that act would be none other than country music superstar Dustin Lynch who always puts on a great show and leaves the crowd wanting more carrying on that excitement to the bull riding that was to follow down on the floor of the T-Mobile Arena in the heart of the legendary Las Vegas strip.

If you were not one of the lucky ones to have a ticket to this history making event the Professional Bull Riders organization did not forget about you.  Each and every day outside on the plaza surrounding the T-Mobile Arena those not attending the event can watch the riders make their way into the arena via the blue carpet and also enjoy some fantastic music like today’s performer non other than country music sensation Jerrod Niemann!
