The PBR’s Top Bull Power Proves To Be Rider Friendly In Round Two

Last night the top 35 bull riders in the world began their west coast swing as the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series invaded Sacramento, California and the Golden 1 Center for the Frontier Communications Sacramento Clash event.  Coming into tonight’s action those in attendance were anxiously awaiting the opening ceremonies that will begin the round two performance followed by the second 15/15 Bucking Battle of the 2017 Built Ford Tough Series season.

Before the top athletes of the PBR, bull riders and bovines, could pair up for fifteen spot-lighted rides the 35 contestants here had to get through the second round of action happening down on the arena floor.  Last night there were a total of 16 qualified rides and these bull riders looked to better that as tonight’s round began.  Once the bull riding began the sold out crowd inside of the Golden 1 Arena were on the edge of their seats cheering on their favorite bull riders and bovine athletes!

Tonight both the bucking bulls as well as the bull riders came to play and put on an electric show for the sold out crowd here inside of the Golden 1 Arena.  Last night there was reason to cheer as 16 of the top 35 bull riders in the world did what they had to do to earn a qualified ride and carry a score over into tonight’s second round of competition.  That being said, the bull power that these cowboys faced tonight continued to rise and gave these guys all that they could handle on a Saturday night.

Once the dust settled and the arena cleared it was time to see who would come as the king of the hill for the second round of the Frontier Communications Sacramento Clash.  After all was said and done there would be a whopping 19 of those 35 bull riders competing who would be able to carry a score over into championship Sunday after weathering the storm for eight seconds.  Even though 18 others were able to cover their bulls, tonight only one man, Gage Gay, would rise to the top and earn the round win here tonight.  Gay was able to cover Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve’s The Kraken to earn the top score of the round with 89 huge points, and go into tomorrow afternoon’s final rounds feeling good!

J.B. Mauney And Asteroid Paired Up Again In The 15/15 Bucking Battle

After the conclusion of round two here in Sacramento it was time to turn up the power all the way to ten as the second 15/15 Bucking Battle of the 2017 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series was about to take place.  Although the anticipation is always high for these special performances tonight had much more as World Champion J.B. Mauney was set to face off with the legendary bucking bull Asteroid for the fifth time in their careers which is pretty incredible.

Coming into tonight’s 15/15 bucking battle Mauney had faced his counterpart, Asteroid, four-time before only covering him once.  He looked to change that tonight but was not able to match the power and grit that the bovine had bucking off the two-time world champion giving Asteroid a 45 point bull score.  After all was said and done it would be five of the fifteen that would earn a qualified ride and some much-needed championship points.  That being said not one could put out the effort that Eduardo Aparecido did aboard D&H Cattle Company/David Huffman’s Jack Shot for a 90.25 point ride and the 15/15 Bucking Battle win here in Sacramento!

Now that the first two rounds are out of the way we are beginning to see how tomorrow afternoon’s rounds will play out and who has a legitimate shot at making it to the championship round.  Last weekend only twelve were able to even earn a score and left open positions with major points being left on the table but this weekend these top 35 bull riders will give everything that they have to make sure that does not happen again.  The field is shaping up nicely but we will all have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to see how it all shakes out!
