The time has come when the top bull riders in the world fight for their survival for two nights as the 2016 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series season comes to a close.  In just one week we will make our way out west to Las Vegas, Nevada to bring in depth coverage to you from the 2016 PBR World Finals.  That being said the field of the top 35 bull riders in the world is far from set as the “Take The Money And Ride” event invades Tucson, Arizona.

After a fantastic weekend in San Jose just seven days ago the world championship race is nearly impossible to keep track of with the race for the one million dollars and the Montana Silversmith belt buckle come down to the wire.  All eyes will be on the top of the leader board but there are many cowboys at the other end that are trying to close out some unfinished business.  The fight to make the World Finals is still very much up for grabs as these next two days will answer all of our questions!

When the doors opened to the Tucson Convention Center earlier tonight every fan as well as contestants knew exactly what was at stake this weekend.  It is crazy to think that the 2016 season is coming to and end and the options and chances for qualifying for a trip to Las Vegas is quickly coming to a close.  Over the last few weeks we have seen many story lines begin to play out and have been watching all of them very closely to see who will be making their way to the T-Mobile Arena.

Once the introductions were concluded it was time  for the action to begin down on the arena floor as the final event which was presented by THE AK-CHIN INDIAN COMMUNITY was set to begin.  Although many of the top cowboys had their spots locked for the world finals there were many that could slip in and out of the top 35 within these last two nights of competition.  Everyone was watching the standings change with each and every bull ride in anticipation into what was going to happen after tomorrow afternoon’s conclusion.

The action continued right from where it ended last weekend with dominating performances from the top 35 cowboys in the world.  After a record breaking weekend full of rides just seven days ago everyone inside of the Tucson Convention Center was wanting and expecting to see much of the same.  This weekend will be the last and FINAL push for any number of the bull riders in the world standings to head into Las Vegas with momentum carried from these final few events.

Tonight’s efforts of both cowboy and bovine generated an energy level that has not been felt thus far in the 2016 season.  Once the chute gates began cracking it would be a slew of qualified rides that the sold out crowd would witness on this exciting Saturday night.  After all was said and done it would be a total of 15 riders that would manage to make qualified rides and bring a score into tomorrow afternoon’s final two rounds of the 2016 Built Ford Tough season.  That being said no one could match the 87.25 point ride that Ty Pozzobon put up on the board after covering Jenkins Cattle Company’s Old Crow for the needed eight second ride!

Now that round one is in the books the reality of the situations at hand began to come forth as the cowboys look to tomorrow afternoon.  The opening ceremonies tomorrow will be the last time each of these bull riders will walk through the fire and across the shark cage unless they secure a spot in the top 35.  All those cowboys on the bubble and those bucking bulls vying for a world title themselves will all come down to the final two rounds of action at the “Take The Money And Ride” event here in Tucson!
