Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association Saddle Bronc Rider and fan favorite Wade Sundell has a great weekend at the history making event, RFD-TV’s The American, the richest one day rodeo in the sport of professional rodeo. He started off with great ride aboard the bucking horse Lynx Mountain to a tune of 90 points as he catapulted into the “shoot out” round for a chance at his share of the $2 million dollar payout. In the “shoot out” round he was given the horse Stampede Warrior which he rode for a cool 92.50 to win the $100,000 paycheck inside AT&T Stadium.

Once Wade reached the 8 second whistle he knew he had put up the best effort he could have and it was up to the jusdges to see if he was going to win $100,000 for first place or $25,000 for second place. Cort Scheer had put up at 89.00 point ride n Maple Leaf right before his ride and he knew what he had to do. When the scores came in it was Wade Sundell who took home the win with a 92.50 point ride and joined the other winners of he event by earning $100,000. That is when the celebration really started and the entire AT&T Stadium erupted in cheer as they saw fan favorite ride around the arena in the mew Polaris Ranger he just won!

Once the dust settled and he realized what had just happened to his life after this win Jason Hetland and the Rodeo Round Up team caught up with him. We talked about what he thinks of this first ever event and what this will mean the the sport of professional rodeo in the future. He is pretty animated with his responses and lets everyone know that Wade Sundell is in town and will be having fun with his buddy and new millionaire, Richy Champion.
