Round Two Of The PBR In St. Louis Proves A Bit Much For The Cowboys

pbr news

After a successful first round of the Bass Pro Chute Out Presented By Cooper Tires last night the top 35 bull riders in the world wanted to carry that momentum into the second round that was handled earlier tonight.  The Scottrade Arena in St. Louis, Missouri was the place to be for another epic match-up of man versus beast as the action was hot and heavy down on the arena floor.  Tonight proved to be less appealing to the cowboys than the round was just 24 hours ago.

Last night the round ended in a near stalemate as the cowboys matched the athletic ability of the bovine athletes that came before them.  When all was said and done it was nearly half of the field, sixteen in all, that managed to make a full eight second ride which would set up quite the dynamic coming into tonight’s round two performance.  The bucking bulls in the round this evening were some of the highest caliber of bulls that you could find as the top stock contractors in the world showed all the fans in attendance why they do what they do!

Tonight the fans inside of the Scottrade Arena and those watching from their own homes on PBR Live witnessed some of the best bucking bulls in the business today dispatch more than half of the top ranked cowboys in the world.  Much different than last night, it was just 8 of the most elite bull riders that managed to make the distant eight second buzzer to garner a score and some much needed world championship points.  It is a fact that the cowboys of the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series need to regroup and come back to action tomorrow.

After a fantastic round one last night and a history making round win by Nevada Newman on his first Built Ford Tough Series appearance everyone was hoping for another exciting finish as round two opened and kicked off the Saturday Night Live performance.  Everyone knew that whatever ride would win the round would be given huge marks with the amount of bovine power that was going to be on display earlier tonight.  The feeling everyone had came to become a realization as the round winning ride was one that will be remembered for years to come!

The number of qualified rides that were made tonight was a vast difference from what happened last night but those that were made were electrifying and put the PBR fans on the edge of their seats.  After was all said and done it was one man that rose above the rest to claim the round victory and the 100 championship points that came along with it.  Defending World Champion J.B. Mauney clashed with Jenkins Cattle Co./Bar 3D Bucking Bulls ‘ Cowboy Phil to earn a qualified 87 point ride that set him up in great shape heading into tomorrow afternoon’s round three and championship rounds.
