Round Six Of The 2015 WNFR Is In The Books As Questions Still Remain!

Many questions remained at the start of the sixth round of competition at the 57th Annual Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.  Now that the total prize money purse is at a record level for 2015 it is making for a much more interesting world title race that is shaping up nicely for the tenth and final round on Saturday evening.  Even though the rodeo world is waiting to see who will be crowned World Champion tonight was all about the rookies of the WNFR as it was Resistol Rookie Night inside of the Thomas & Mack Arena!

Once the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo rookies were spotlighted, everyone in attendance tonight were given a very special musical performance to kick off the night’s action.  Two huge powerhouses joined forces to get the fans ready for the rodeo action that they were about to witness.  Country music award winning band Ricochet’s own Heath Wright gave us a high energy performance while Las Vegas’ icon Terry Fator provided a beautiful rendition of our National Anthem.

Tonight’s Rodeo Round Up spotlight event involves the very talented ladies of the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association as we take a close look at the barrel racing.  Tonight was much like the last five performances where these cowgirls gave their all and pushed themselves and their horses to the limit.  After an intense round it was Taylor Jacob and Sarah Rose McDonald who managed to squeak out victories with 13.91 second runs to each claim their second go round wins of the 2015 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

Jason and his Rodeo Round Up team were able to catch up with Taylor and Sarah following their amazing sixth go round winning runs.  See what they had to say about the ground condition as well as the interesting start to each run in the barrel racing.  There have been fans that have made comments about the arena floor condition but we find out what the ladies that are here think about it themselves.  They also talk about their daily preparations and how they handle the many appearances and tasks that come with making a WNFR.  Find out about all that below in the Rodeo Round Up’s exclusive interview with them!

In the bareback riding event it was Jake Brown who managed to claim a round win with a 85.50 point ride while big boy sport of steer wrestling it was Terrll Texas’ Clayton Hass that raised the roof of the Thomas & Mack with an amazing 3.5 second run!  In the team roping it was the teams of Aaron Tsinigine and Ryan Motes as well as Nick Sartain and Rich Skelton who have been having a fantastic finals that split the top spot for round 6 with a 3.9 second runs and in the classic rodeo sport of saddle bronc riding as Isaac Diaz is headed to the South Point Hotel and Casino stage after winning the round with a 83 point ride.  The quick hands and tremendous horses of the tie-down roping event was lead by newly crowned 23-time World Champion Trevor Brazile as he won the sixth round with with an amazing 6.6 second run and in the bull riding it was Minnesota’s own Brett Stall who pulled out the win by claiming a 87 point ride to end the sixth round of the 2015 WNFR!
