Round One Of The PBR Is In The Books In New York City!

PBR New York

Things have surely been interesting being only one event into the 2016 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series season coming into the event held this weekend in the little city that we call New York City!  After just one round of competition that same dynamic continues to carry on its tradition.  Last night’s round one from Madison Square Gardens saw some fantastic rides, shocking moments, scary circumstances and history making moments.  All of the things that happened in just the first night of action will set the tone for what is about to happen for the remaining rounds to finish out our time in the Big Apple!

As I said before the riders brought their A-games to New York as the first “major” of the 2016 BFTS season started on a true high note for competitors and fans alike.  Throughout the two and a half hours of non-stop bull riding action the fans inside of the Madison Square Gardens Arena witnessed 21 of the top 35 bull riders in the world claim victory and make it to the eight second whistle to gain a qualified ride and begin one heck of a shoot out with two rounds remaining in this year’s New York event!

Although there was an unbelievable 21 qualified rides in the first round there were only two that would be given the honor of being called the top dogs heading into the second round of competition Saturday night.  After it was all said and done nobody could match the 87 point rides that both J.W. Harris and Brazilian Robson Palermo put up on the scoreboard.  These two veterans took home a nice pocket full of money but more importantly some much needed championship points that will help them make another bid for the 2016 PBR BFTS World Finals this coming October.  Check out our exclusive recap from the last two rounds as well as the first 15/15 Bucking Battle competition right here with the Rodeo Round Up!
