Round Four Continues To Provide Excitement At The 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo

After three exhilarating nights of professional rodeo action from the 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo where we have seen almost everything one could imagine already, tonight’s fourth round inside of the Thomas & Mack Arena was a much-anticipated event throughout town.  After many moments that no one would have ever imagined possible, the sportsbooks around town were hopping with enthusiastic rodeo fans looking to place a wager on the impossible.  That being said, everyone was looking for bigger and better things to come earlier tonight in round four.

As we made our way throughout town today the buzz that last night’s round three created was undeniably the highest that we have seen in in recent years as one of the best rounds in the history of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo happened before our very eyes.  Although it was a great round of action, it would begin to take its toll on many of the athletes competing here this week with seven rounds remaining before we are able to crown our new 2017 PRCA and WPRA World Champions.

As we all know, coming out to Las Vegas for two full weeks does not come at a low expense for anyone and this year I am honored to be working with a fantastic group called Warriors and Rodeo.  This great group of veterans, police, firefighters and EMS are all actively involved within the sport of rodeo and take great pride in being a part of this great organization.  While out here covering all of the events I have been given the opportunity to work alongside my fellow brothers and sisters to promote the organization and the sport itself.

One of the great opportunities that this week blessed me with was being able to represent Warriors and Rodeo while attending the Reba and Brooks & Dunn concert at Caesars Palace earlier tonight.  Because of this I was not able to attend a viewing party but will get back to bringing you the best options around tomorrow night.  It was an honor to accept the tickets given to us but Sandra Potts along with Susie and Reba McEntire and to be able to witness one of the greatest tributes to the troops I have ever seen a musical act give at the end of the show which left every person inside of the showroom with tears in their eyes.

Although I was not able to watch the fourth round live with everyone tonight, I was still able to hustle back to the MGM Grand in order to catch the end of the night’s action.  Upon returning, I caught up with a few of my contacts such as past PRCA Steer Wrestling World Champion Luke Branquhino to see what he thought of the round and to get any inside information that I might need for my story here tonight.  May said that it was another fantastic round of professional rodeo action where some would continue their dominance and some would keep dipping further and further down the deep dark hole they have been in.

Two of those men that would continue to have lady luck on their side here this week would be the team roping team of Luke Brown and Jake Long who would split the round win tonight with a 4.1-second run to win their second consecutive 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo round.  Another cowboy, Trey Benton III would stay a perfect 4-for-4 and take home another round win with a solid 87.50 point ride aboard Andrews Rodeo’s Mo Money notching a cool $33,564 for his efforts tonight alone being only one of three making qualified rides here earlier tonight!
