Reba And Brooks & Dunn In Las Vegas Is A Must See!

Finally, this year I have decided to begin to take some time for myself while out here in Las Vegas for two full weeks.  While I love covering the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and bringing you all of the interviews and recaps you expect to see, I fell like I need to take a break every now and then to decompress.  I will always do my research on any round I may miss and still bring you all of the information each night but I am going to partake in some shows and do my best to get to all I have missed throughout the years due to time constraints.

That being said, you will not have to worry about missing any rodeo information since I will still vow to bring that to you each night.  Along with your National Finals Rodeo information you may want, you can expect to see small stories and recaps of shows and other things I will be doing around town throughout the 14-day run that I am in Las Vegas.  Last night was a show I have always wanted to see and after attending it I am absolutely blown away at how great it was!

After a long three days of covering not only the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, but the Boyd Gaming Cinch Chute Out as well, I was ready to step away from the computer and put the pen and paper down to take a couple of hours to relax and take some me time.  I received a text asking if I would like to represent the great Warriors and Rodeo organization at the Reba/Brooks & Dunn concert at Caesars Palace.  Sandra Potts who is a huge supporter of our men and women in the military secured tickets from Susie and Reba themselves to allow a group of us to attend their last show in Vegas for the year and we did not hesitate to take them up on the offer.

Once arriving I immediately noticed the huge dynamic of the stage set up and was very intrigued as to how it was all going to look one the lights shined down.  I was not disappointed as Reba and Brooks & Dunn took the stage with moving walls, different levels of staging and a tremendous band that would stay with each artist all night.  As I sat in my chair I was in awe of the different lighting and stage looks as I listened to two of the greatest acts in county music perform together!

Although the entire show was nothing short of spectacular, many legendary moments were witnessed but what happened at the end of the concert brought tears to my eyes and made the hair on the back of my neck stand at attention.  Throughout the entire concert, both Reba and Brooks & Dunn would make mention of how proud they were to have members of our military forces backstage with them but we all wondered why we were never introduced to them to show our gratitude.

That question would be answered during the last song of the night as all three artists would exit stage left and join the fans watching the show with admiring those that have graciously served our country.  Five Air Force members would come atop center stage and stand at attention with a salute to the flag while we all cheered, cried and stood with honor.  This was probably the greatest show of support I have ever seen a country music artist give our men and women in uniform!

While in Las Vegas for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo I am honored to represent a fantastic organizaton called Warriors And Rodeo.  We are an organization for members of the military, firefighters, police officers and EMS workers and their families.  This group has opened up many doors for its members, providing them with free rodeo clinics from some of the best professional athletes in the world.  Along with these clinics, the members are also provided with some of the best equipment to keep them all safe and sound as they compete across the country.

Another fantastic thing that this organization has done for me personally happened this year and helped out with the trip to Las Vegas that I am currently on!  The WAR group along with the very gracious Sandy Cooper secured rooms at my host hotel, the MGM Grand, at no charge for all of the WAR members that have made their way to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.  I would like to encourage each and every one of you that are in the forenoted fields or are a family member of one to please look into joining this great organization and begin your journey with a great group of people!
