The Professional Bull Riders have one event left before all the focus turns to Las Vegas and the PBR World Finals that start Wednesday evening inside the Thomas & Mack center on the beautiful University of Nevada – Las Vegas campus.  The first ever “Monster Energy Bulls On The Beach” event will take place tomorrow evening in Huntington Beach, California.  This will be the last 15/15 Bucking Bull Challenge of the 2014 season and will finalize the world standings for the start of the PBR Built Ford Tough Series World Finals in just four short days!  Although the excitement is in the air there is one athlete that has been pulled out of competition and will not be performing in Huntington Beach as previously scheduled.

The 2013 World Champion Bucking Bull Bushwacker will not be in competition during the first ever event in California.  Bushwacker’s owner, Julio Moreno, made the difficult decision Friday morning choosing not to bring his star athlete to the 15/15 Bucking Bull Challenge.  Moreno thought it was best to give Bushwacker a chance to relax before his final two outs of his legendary career as part of the 2014 PBR World Finals.  “Bushwacker’s farewell tour has kept him very busy this year,” Moreno said. “A little rest before he has to buck at the Finals will do him good. I’d like to give him a good shot at defending his title.”

Bushwacker will retire after the World Finals this year and has left the bucking bull world with impressions that will last far into the future but he still thinks he has something to prove in his last two outs.  He has already been crowned World Champion Bucking Bull twice but has his sights set on obtaining that designation for a third time.  If Bushwacker can make that happen he will be one of only two bulls in the history of the Professional Bull Riders organization.  The only other bull to do this is remembered by a bronze statue outside the entrance of the PBR Headquarters in Pueblo, Colorado, Little Yellow Jacket.
