PBR Little Rock Proved Tough For The Top 35 Bull Riders In The World

After a round one performance, just 24 hours ago, where the bovine athletes proved to be much more than the top 35 bull riders in the world standings could handle those competing here tonight came in wanting to regain the swagger that they all gained last weekend.  Last night those competing could barely fill the seven spots that gained those cowboys some much-needed championship points coming into tonight’s second and championship rounds of bull riding action.

As like in rounds past, the ABBI Classic Bulls were out last night which proved, once again, to cause havoc among those competing.  Tonight, however, the bovine power would not be any less but this pen of bucking bulls here tonight are deemed a little more rider friendly which should make filling the fifteen rider format for the championship round later tonight easier to fill.  Those on the bubble need to step up in a big way here tonight to guarantee their spot on the elite Built Ford Tough Series going forward throughout the 2017 season.

Following a round one where only seven riders were able to make it to the much elusive eight-second buzzer tonight’s round could not be much worse of a performance for many of the best bull riders in the world.  That being said, the sold out crowd inside of the Verizon Arena would, in the back of their minds, be hoping for the same sort of outcome.  That is because one of their own, Hamburg, Arkansas’ Chase Outlaw stood above the rest and came into tonight’s second round in the number on spot!

Once the loyal Arkansas fans filled the Verizon Arena to capacity it was time to turn the lights on bright and watch the best bull riders in the world do what they do best, ride some of the greatest bucking bulls going down the road today.  Once things were all said and done in round two, there would be 12 of the top 35 bull riders in the world that would be able to earn a qualified ride.  Although there were more rides than in round one, all eyes would be on the man who earned an 87 point ride to win the second round here in Little Rock.  Joao Ricardo Vieira would be able to top the rest of the field and earn a round win and a spot in the championship round later in the night!

After two qualifying rounds that barely managed to fill the available fifteen spots in the championship round, it was time to see who would leave Little Rock, Arkansas being crowned the 2017 Bad Boy Mowdown event champion.  The match-up’s for the round earlier tonight brought some of the rankest bucking bulls in the business to center stage down on the arena floor.  Although the rides were very few and far between the rides that were made in the round were ones that people will remember for quite some time!

Coming into the championship round, the cowboys were nursing injuries and sore bodies from the first two rounds on this short two-day weekend.  Once things began it was quickly realized that the bucking bulls would once again have their day and keep the qualified rides to a minimum while earning some high marks on their side of the board.  After all was concluded, there was only 1 of those 15 that would be able to make qualified rides while a score of 89.50 points would take home the round win.  Derek Kolbaba would be able to cover Jane Clark / Gene Owen’s Cochise for the required eight seconds and secure a championship round win in Little Rock!
