As the attention turns back to the top 35 bull riders in the world some of the best bull riding action can be seen for two nights in Kansas City, Missouri. The Professional Bull Riders bring their elite Built Ford Tough Series back to the Sprint Center for the 13th consecutive year for the Kansas City Clash. This exciting event is presented by Foley Equipment and sponsored locally by one of the PBR’s great sponsors Sonic. When the doors opened to the Sprint Center tonight you could feel the level of excitement and anticipation that the great Midwest PBR fans had going into round one.
One thing that was not thought about or even brought up throughout the week leading up to the Kansas City Clash was members of the PBR that were competing for their chance to compete at the RFD-TV’s The American. Over the past few months bull riders across the country qualified for the semi-finals that were held in Ft. Worth last night. A whole slew of the top bull riders in the PBR high tailed it back to the Midwest after competing less than 24 hours ago in Texas. After watching that round last night we wonder if it was the correct choice for some after suffering injuries. Only time would tell if it would affect these cowboys that pushed themselves to the limit last night at the Cowtown Coliseum.

Last night ten of the top 35 riders competed for their shot at competing in the richest one day rodeo in western sports history as the RFD-TV’s The American shares the AT&T Cowboy Stadium with the PBR as the seventh annual Choctaw Casino Iron Cowboy Powered By Kawasaki takes place next Saturday and Sunday. As a few of those sustained injuries last night it would effect their performance here in round one. Nevada Newman, Wallace Vieira de Oliveira and Kasey Hayes did not fair so well and came in behind the eight ball here tonight as the seventh stop on the 2016 PBR Built Ford Tough Series began here in Kansas City.
Once the action began on the arena floor it was apparent that the cowboys were tired of getting showed up and came to play as round one began earlier tonight. The effort that was put forth from the cowboys tonight was absolutely fantastic and gut wrenching. After such an historic event last weekend in St. Louis it was going to be hard to beat but tonight was a great start to matching the excitement and celebrations that happened just one weekend ago during the Bass Pro Chute Out

Tonight it was a match of endurance between man and beast as the bovine power here on the Midwest run continued to impress. Many of the top stock contractors in the business once again brought the best that they had to offer which made for some very exciting action inside of the Sprint Center during the first round of the Kansas City Clash. After all was said and done it was a total of 5 of the top 35 bull riders in the world who would fair better than their bovine counterpart and would be able to receive a score in round one after making a qualified 8 second ride.
Once the fans filed out of the arena and the music subsided it was only one man that would stand tall above all others to claim victory in the first round of the Kansas City Clash Presented By Foley Equipment and locally by Sonic. During a very exciting round of bull riding action it was Kaique Pacheco who would end up atop of the leader board heading into the second and final night of PBR Built Ford Tough Series action. Pacheco received an 87.25 point score after conquering D&H Cattle Company/Buck Cattle Company ‘s Show Kitty.
