Oklahoma City Provided Excitement For Fans Of The PBR!

All we can say is WOW …… what a great show it was in Oklahoma City as the AVID Visual Imagery and TheRodeoRound Up.com teams converged upon the Chesapeake Energy Arena.  The third stop on the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series tour for 2016 gave fans both excitement and heartache as they packed the seats for three straight nights of action to cheer on their favorite bull riders and bovine athletes alike!

As the lights turned on bright and the arena floor was groomed the doors opened up to the thousands of loyal PBR fans in Oklahoma City earlier today.  Championship Sunday was the focus as the third and final round of competition was about to begin which would set the stage for the top 15 bull riders that would make the Championship Round.  Today was the day that the top bull riders in the world would match up to the top bovine athletes on the planet today.  When the Championship Round began the action on the arena floor was nothing but spectacular.

Gage Gay Claims The Rd 3 Victory Aboard Redbone

Tonight was the last opportunity the top 35 bull riders in the world had to gain a spot in the Championship Round as the top 15 bull riders in the event standings square off for the event title and the shot at a huge payday.  Along with the big payday that comes with winning a Built Ford Tough Series event there comes the much needed points that will determine who will make it to Las Vegas this November to compete at the 2016 PBR World Finals.

As the third round started each of the cowboys knew what they had to do to make it back later in the day to compete for the event championship and the huge amount of points that came with an event win.  Everyone could tell that the pressure was on the cowboys as a total of 14 of them combined for qualified 8 second rides.  That being said, no one could fair better than Gage Gay who eventually won round three with a huge 86.25 point ride atop Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve’s bull Redbone!  Once the scores were added up from the first three rounds it was time to begin the main event as the Championship Round started underway!

Mason Lowe Came Out On Top Claiming Victory In The Championship Round

The Championship Round gave the fans of the Professional Bull Riders their first glimpse at the top bucking bulls in the business.  Many of last year’s World Champion contenders were on display and made for an intense round as the top fifteen bull riders tried to tame the dragons that were set before them.  After it was all said and done there were only 5 cowboys that were able to make the whistle in the Championship Round earlier this afternoon.  Those fortunate enough make a qualified ride were to earn some much needed points were Fabiano Vieira(89.25), J.B. Mauney (90.25), Joao Ricardo Vieira (87) and Guilherme Marchi (80.75).

That being said there was one other man that was able to do just that as well  and decidedly came out on top of the Championship Round.  Mason Lowe was able to slay HD Page’s Sweet Pro’s Bruiser for a 91 point ride that lit the arena on fire.  Not only did he gain a huge payday for his efforts but put some pressure on the world standings by gaining some much needed championship points as well.

Fabiano Vieira Wins The Oklahoma City PBR Event With A Dominating Performance

When the lights dimmed on the arena floor inside of the Chesapeake Energy Arena there was one man and one ma only that outlasted and out rode all other competitors to be named the event champion for the third stop on the PBR Built Ford Tough Series 2016 tour in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  The man of the weekend was non other than Brazilian Fabiano Vieira himself who had a fantastic weekend earning 344.25 total points on a total of four bucking bulls.  To say the talent on both sides of the fence was amazing here in Oklahoma is an understatement it just adds excitement as to what fans will be able to see during the next 23 stops on this years calendar that leads to the 2016 PBR World Finals live from Las Vegas this coming November!  A huge thank you goes out to our friends at Run Ranger Run for sponsoring this weekend’s PBR event in Oklahoma City and making sure our team could be there live to give you all the coverage you could handle!
