New PBR World Leader After Round Two At The Pit!

PBR page picture

After a dismal round one last night the top 35 bull riders in the world wanted to come in and change the dynamic of what had happened early on.  The Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series pairs up the best cowboys in the world against the toughest and rankest bovine athletes travelling down the road today.  Tonight was no different as it almost looked like a mirror image of what the outcome was just 24 short hours earlier.  Although the cowboys came in with a new mindset the bucking bulls came in with guns blazing and gave their opponents all that they could handle throughout the night.

Even though the bovine power took center stage once again there were many other stories that were beginning to develop as round two was set to begin.  Everything was being talked about as the current world number one coming into tonight, Paulo Ferreira Lima, was missing from the round two line-up.  Along with that was how close the race was and those that have been on a hot streak could very well take over the number one position which is exactly what happened as the action came to a close on round two earlier tonight!

After a round that left the cowboys scratching their heads as they tried to figure out what had happened last night the energy and buzz inside of The Pit was at an all time high.  Some of the elite bucking stock the the Professional Bull Riders organization had to offer was up for action in round two earlier tonight.  As these bovine athletes quickly began to take center stage for the second night in a row there would not be many qualified rides that would be announced throughout the 37 bull rides that fans got to witness as round two was happening live in New Mexico!

Although there was not much to cheer about for qualified rides those fans that were in attendance had a lot to cheer about as the bucking bulls, once again, proved to be too much for the top 35 bull riders in the world to handle.  Everyone, including the commentators, were flabbergasted as these athletes fell by the wayside one by one with spattered qualified rides in the mix for good measure.  After was all said and done there were a few fantastic rides and a new world leader heading into championship Sunday.

After another brutal round that bruised and battered the bull riders of the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series it would be only nine of the top 35 in the world that would manage to make it the the elusive eight second buzzer to bring event points into the third and final day of competition Sunday afternoon.  As the first two rounds gave lack luster performances by the cowboys it was going to be an open hunt for who would qualify to move on to the championship round to conclude the legendary event.

Although there were only those nine qualified rides there was much to cheer about as those rides electrified the sold out crowds that were there to watch live.  Young gun Cooper Davis was all set to walk across the stage to claim the round victory but as the last ride was about to begin he had to watch one more man.  Reigning and defending PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney was set to ride his bull Shelly’s Gangster owned by Ron Alsbaugh.  After the scores came in it would be Mauney who stole the round win, his second in a row, from Davis with an 88.25 point ride to move him to the number one spot in the current world standings!
