ERA Makes Huge Bull Riding Announcement!

ERA-League

The past couple of weeks has been very interesting to say the least within the sport of professional rodeo.  At the top of the list is the huge issue of the lawsuit between the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) and the Elite Rodeo Athletes (ERA) rodeo organizations.  Last week the injunction ruling was handed down and the PRCA came out on top for now.  Everyone has a feeling that this is far from over but the ground work has been laid down to see who will continue to side with the ERA and who will decide to leave and remain on the PRCA contestant list or their shot at making the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

That being said another huge announcement came down the pipeline from the folks at the ERA headquarters that raised some eyebrows and started the rumors for sure.  Up to this point folks have been told that the Elite Rodeo Athletes inaugural 2016 rodeo season will take place without a shadow of a doubt.  That being said, there remained the question of who would be title sponsors of the organization and its World Finals in November that are supposed to be held in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center.  The other question that we found out today is who exactly would be the bull riding contestants that made the roster for the 2016 season and that is the answer that we found out today when the full list was announced just moments ago!

Earlier today the question was answered that many of the loyal rodeo fans were waiting to find out about.  Even though the 2016 Elite Rodeo Athletes contestant list was announced this past December during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo there was one event that was not announced that started to raise a lot of  speculation and questions among the fans and fellow contestants alike.  Today the entire 2016 contestant roster was completed when the ERA announced who would be competing in the bull riding event for the tour stops throughout the United States that will come to a head at the first every ERA World Finals in November!

As you could well imagine the list of riders that will be competing in this year’s ERA events are very note worthy and carry quite a few World Championship titles along with them.  Since the bull riders are such well known rodeo athletes that raises the question of what will that mean for their PRCA bull riding career since the injunction decision was handed down late last week in the favor of the PRCA.  It is a very delicate issue and the way that the injunction decision was written will allow these bull riders to compete in both associations if they are not owners or share holders of the ERA.

Now that the cat is out of the bag we can openly talk about the decision that was made on who would be competing for the ERA in the bull riding event.  By looking at the names above you can only imagine the caliber of athletes that have pleaded allegiance to the Elite Rodeo Association for the 2016 season.
