This weekend Jason Hetland and the Rodeo Round Up staff will be in Arlington, Texas to cover the richest one day rodeo in history, RFD-TV’s The American. Earlier in the month I got to sit down with RFD-TV’s CEO Randy Bernard to discuss this huge event and his thoughts on everything. The American is being held the same weekend as the Professional Bull Riders Dr. Pepper Iron Cowboy event which will draw fans from east of the Mississippi which is a huge deal and a very important part of making The American a huge success. The Rodeo Round Up has received confirmation of the schedule of events as well as the complete draws for the one day event held inside AT&T Stadium March 2nd, 2014. If you are coming into town for the Iron Cowboy I would make sure you consider staying an extra day to watch history be made on the dirt. I have confirmed a schedule of events for this up coming weekend which you can see for yourself on RFD-TV’s website by clicking the link here. My team and I will be at each and every event throughout the weekend with coverage for those of you that can not make it so you will not miss any of the kick off events to this history making weekend. Along with the Rodeo Round Up’s coverage you can watch it live on RFD-TV but you will have to check your local television coverage options to see when it will be aired. Along with the announcements of the event calendar and the draws for the richest one day rodeo in the history of the sport, The American, RFD-TV’s CEO Randy Bernard made some exciting announcements as well. The Rodeo Round Up’s friends at Cuttin’ Up Radio, whose Facebook page you can see and follow here, have given details about these announcements. Earlier this week RFD-TV and Randy Bernard announced that $225,000.00 could be paid out to each winner if an exemption contestant or qualifier does not win their respective events at The American.
The same day he also announced that both Joe Beaver and Fred Whitfield will be competing instead of just the winner at the semi-finals. Speed Williams will also be competing with Clay O’Brien Cooper and Jake Barnes at RFD-TV’s The American.
Remember that Jason and his team will be in Arlington starting Friday morning for all of the press conferences and kick off events for those of you that can not make it down. He will be doing stories and videos throughout the weekend so stay tuned to www.therodeoroundup.com for all the up to date happenings and interviews with legends and your favorite contestants from AT&T Stadium!!
