This Ponca City, Oklahoma cowboy has been honored the past two years as the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association’s Clown of the year which is voted on by the many rodeo committees as well as his peers inside of the rodeo arena. This year he gets to be at the pinnacle of the sport and reach his ultimate goal by being chosen to be a part of his first Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Rumford never had the thought to become a full time rodeo entertainer but an injury when he was a steer wrestler made him think differently about what to do within the sport of professional rodeo. Rumford says, “I worked the Pretty Prairie (Kan.) bull riding, and they gave me $1000. And I thought, why the heck am I working so hard for $800 a week when I can make $1000 a weekend? So I jumped ship for that.” We can not wait to catch up with Justin in Las Vegas as part of the 2014 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo!

Cody Webster did not get his start in the sport of rodeo until a little while later in life than most that become one of the best in the business. Even though he waited he was mentored by one of the best and toughest bull fighters in the business today, the Professional Bull Riders own Frank Newsome. As a young kid he always dressed up as his mentor for Halloween and tried to copy everything that he did. Webster, being voted back for another Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, is as excited as he was his first time saying, “Shoot, I can remember back when I was 5 or 6, watching the NFR (National Finals Rodeo), watching the bull fighters, watching Frank (Newsom) on TV. I’ve always aimed for that.” Not only was Webster chosen for the WNFR but he has received his first chance to fight along side his peer and mentor at the 2014 Professional Bull Riders World Finals next week as well. We are excited to be able to see Cody Webster back at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo once again!

Tuckness does not take being chosen for the WNFR for granted saying, “I try to be as consistent as I can, do my job day in and day out, and hope that will lead to a good outcome at the end of the year. Every year I get to go back, it means that I’ve been consistent and the bull riders trust me and want to see me in the arena, so to keep going back is a real honor.
