Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier Tyson Durfey was excited to even be part of the history making event, RFD-TV’s The American, but to win it and take home a $100,000 paycheck was not even imaginable to him but that is exactly what happened. Tyson had a huge night and finished his “shoot out” round with a 6.95 second run to win the first ever American rodeo and win the money that will change his families life forever. Tyson and his beautiful wife Shea Fisher, Australian country music singer, stopped by the Rodeo Round Up following the winner press conference at AT&T Stadium. I don’t know who was more excited about this history making win, him or his wife, but either way this $100,000 payday will change the way these contestants and fans will see the sport of professional rodeo from here on out thanks to RFD-TV and its CEO Randy Bernard. Tyson and Shea talk about what this event means to both them and the sport and what to look for in the future with these two amazing individuals.
