The 2014 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo is officially over and for those that attended the event this year will have lasting memories for years to come. The “Daddy Of Em’ All” has been going strong for well over 100 years and its legacy did not disappoint this year much like previous years. The fans saw everything from arena records go up in flames to up and coming names taking home big paychecks to the legends of the sport obtaining their first Cheyenne Frontier Days Championship Titles! After all was said and done and Championship Sunday was concluded the 2014 champions were:
Bull Riding: Austin Meier – 254 points
Bareback Bronc: Richard Champion III – 257 points
Barrel Racing: Brenda Mays – 53.23 time
Rookie Saddle Bronc: Wyatt Kammerer – 150 points
Saddle Bronc: Chad Ferley – 248 points
Steer Roping: Jarrett Blessing – 58.9 time
Senior Steer Roping: Randy Mekelburg – 37.6 time
Steer Wrestling: K.C. Jones – 30.2 time
Tie – Down Roping: Trevor Brazile – 37.1 time
Team Roping: Brandon Beers and Jim Ross Cooper – 27.7 time
Once again this year fans and contestants alike put forth their best attributes and made the 2014 “Daddy Of Em’ All, The Cheyenne Frontier Days, one for everyone to remember for many years! The Rodeo Round Up would like to congratulate each and every one of the contestants and respective champions for another fantastic year showing fans what the best sport in the world is all about. We would also like to take a minute and thank each and every fan that witnessed the 2014 edition and the city and people of Cheyenne for opening up your hearts and homes for all of us and making us feel at home while we were there for the Daddy Of Em’ All!
