A New Name To The List Of 2017 Major Event Winners In Nashville

The PBR Adds A New Name To The List Of 2017 Major Event Winners In Nashville

After an exciting round one performance Friday night, the fans inside of the BOK Arena were, once again, anxiously awaited what would happen on Saturday Night Live.  Throughout the first two qualifying rounds on Friday we were able to watch some great match-ups and see exactly what round three would look like after the top bull riders in the world took their places within the bracket style system.  This event is like no other as it is a game of simply outlasting your opponent with or without a qualified ride.

That being said, numerous match-ups needed a qualified ride to advance automatically without having to wait and see if their score or time would be one of the top eight of those loosing their match-ups to advance in the “Last Chance Bracket”.  As round three began earlier on Saturday the anticipation was at an all-time high for those waiting to see if they would make the cut which would happen after the first four rounds of competition where combined scores and/or times would be calculated to see who would fill the Last Chance Qualifier Bracket for the 2017 PBR’s Music City Knock-Out!

Although the main focus was on the top 35 bull riders in the world this past weekend there was one other group of bull riding athletes that were wanting their own place in the history books.  The bovine power here this weekend was non-other than top tier talent that gave each and every one of the cowboys that faced them all that they could handle.  Throughout the weekend we were all able to witness some amazing buck outs by some of the best bucking bulls in the business which gave the sold-out crowd much to cheer for all weekend long!

Many of the top level bucking bulls were vying for the top bull score of the weekend as they showcased their talents all weekend long as well as the cowboys that faced them.  Once the action got down to the top four riders of the event it was time to watch the top bull score of the weekend happen, in round eight of the bracket style event.  In this round it would be Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/H&C Bucking Bulls’ Pearl Harbor that would fair better than Silvano Alves, earning a 45.50 point bull score knocking Alves out of the competition and earning the high marked bull score of the event!

This weekend’s event here in Nashville was tough for the top 35 bull riders in the world to get by with nine rounds of competition in front of them if they had to take the worst route to the event title.  There were those that barely made it through to the next round and those that dominated their opponents to earn their spots in the waiting rounds.  Many of these cowboys were vying for their first Music City Knock-Out title and a few were looking to repeat as champions of this major event once again in 2017.

After things were all said and done and the final round was upon those watching either from within the arena or from the comforts of their own living rooms, it was time to see who would outlast the other for the champion title.  The final pairing would be between newcomer Cody Teel and PBR veteran Fabiano Vieira, both looking for their first Music City Knock-Out title.  In the end both would buck off prior to the eight second buzzer with Vieira outlasting Teel with a buck-off time of 5.47 seconds besting Teel’s 2.72 time to earn the 2017 title after making to the final rounds two times prior but never pulling off an event win.

After a fantastic event here in Nashville, Tennessee the top 35 bull riders in the world will take a much-needed one weekend break before setting their sights on another fantastic event as we head to Thackerville, Oklahoma to the Winstar Workd Resort and Casino Invitational.  The Rodeo Round Up team will be there to cover all of the action and bring you the shots directly from the arena courtesy of our friends at Rokin’ K Photography so stay tuned for continued coverage live from Oklahoma one week from now!
