The Rodeo Round Up team, once again, held their 2nd Annual Shriner’s Children’s Hospital Rodeo Meet & Greet Day at the Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis.  For as much as the Shriner’s give to the community Jason and his team are very honored to be a small part of making the lives of those children going through so much a little brighter, even if it is just for a small amount of time.  Jason would not be able to make this happen without the support of the rodeo and country music families that he is so honored to be a part of.  This year was extra special as some surprise musical guests made their appearances to support the event this year!

Special Guests Mufassa and Twine String Steal The Show

Rodeo clown, entertainer and barrelman Jeremy “Twine String” Trulock and his sidekick Mufassa made the trek north to help out and be a very popular part of this year’s Rodeo Meet & Greet.  It was nice to see the patients and families of the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital be able to enjoy talking with Twine String and being able to sit in the grass and pet Mufassa while learning more about this amazing animal.  Along with meeting them everyone in attendance was able to see the two of them in action as they put on an amazing display of talent for everyone to enjoy as well.

Saturday May 16th, 2015 will be another day in the lives of those children being treated at the hospital but a day that was filled with smiles and laughter instead of nervousness and fear.  As part of the 2nd annual rodeo meet & greet day the Shriner’s brought in the Zurah Horsemen to provide free horse rides to everyone in attendance.  This was a very special part of the day and a very popular attraction to both the kids as well as the adults and no one was turned away from a free horse ride and picture to remember their time on this very special day provided by the Shriner’s Children’s hospital and the Rodeo Round Up!

Twin Cities Country Music Icon Tim Sigler

Along with all the horse rides, rodeo contestants and numerous other fun things to do was the secret addition to some live country music for everyone to enjoy as the day winded down.  Over 1800 people enjoyed the live performances of both national country music recording artist Steve Prosser and Rob of Stearns County 17.  Another fan favorite of the day was the exciting addition of twin cities country music sensation Tim Sigler who played for a hour taking requests from the crowd and encouraged all those watching to sing along and boy did they sound good!  A huge thank you goes out to Steve, Rob and Tim for taking time out of your busy schedule to make the lives of these kids a little bit better for a day they will remember forever!
