The much anticipated list of who got the call this evening to be a part of the 2015 Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo has been released.  The field of finalists for the barrel man and bullfighters were lists that I would not want to have to vote on to see who would be making it to the Thomas & Mack Center in just over one month from now.  The outpouring of support from the finalists that did not get chosen is something that no other sport would have happen and it is refreshing to see that those involved in the sport have respect and honor for each other as they always have.

After a year of tremendous ups and downs for this highly talented and energetic cowboy the call that he has been waiting for finally came in earlier this evening.  Harrison was given the call and the exciting news that he had been chosen to entertain the 18,000 rodeo fans in attendace each night for the 2015 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.  The list of finalists included the 2014 WNFR barrel Man Justin Rumford, who congratulated Mr. Harrison by posting this on his facebook page, “It’s been a long year with lots of hits and bruises. I got the call that I will be the alternate for the NFR! Congrats to John Harrison on getting the Barrelman! Good job buddy”!

Another set of guys that got the call of a lifetime as well tonight are those three gentlemen that were chosen by their peers to keep them safe and protected throughout the ten nights of competition.  The three bullfighters that received that call tonight are all part of the “Bullfighters Only” team and do a tremendous job all year.  Dusty Tuckness, Cody Webster and Aaron Ferguson have been voted to come back to work the bull riding event once again.  Chuck Swisher, who was one of the top five finalists, gave a heartfelt congratulations to the three by posting this on his facebook page, “Congrats to these guys for getting the call to work the NFR. So blessed to have come close. Glory to God.”
