The Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series has opened up its doors to extend invitations to top bull riders in other professional rodeo organizations to join them in the next few weeks.  The fans of the PBR will start to see a few new faces on tour, which in turn, will make the competition even more exciting with addition to the invitations that have been accepted so far along with those that the PBR are still waiting to hear back on.

Guytin Tsosie, the 2013 International Indian Finals Rodeo World Champion, rode two of his four bulls this past weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico on the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series which earned him an invitation to stay on the tour.  With his performance this past weekend at “The Pit” he has been given the  opportunity to stay for three more weeks where he will ride in Fresno, California, Boise, Idaho and Billings, Montana.  This will be one to watch for at least the next three weeks and if he can get into a position to stay on tour we may be able to see this cowboy a lot more often over the second half of the Built Ford Tough season!

PRCA World Campion J.W. Harris is one of those that has accepted the invitation to compete in Fresno, California March 28-29.  This cowboy is a four time defending Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association Bull Riding World Champion.  Many people remember that many years ago some of the top ranked bull riders in the PRCA left that organization to make the PBR what it is today.  J.W. Harris is going to be in position this weekend to make a boat load of money and get a taste of what these riders did years ago.  I don’t believe that he will leave the PRCA  but it is interesting that he accepted the opportunity to join the PBR for one weekend and see where that takes him!

Cody Teel, 2012 Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association World Champion, has been offered an invitation to comepte in the 2014 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough season.  This  young bull rider from Sam Houston State University has proved himself a worthy competitor in the PRCA and for that fact Jim Haworth and the PBR have extended an offer for him to join the tour sometime in the second half of the season.

Sage Kimzey, the current #1 ranked bull rider in the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association, has also been given an exclusive invitation to compete at an upcoming 2104 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Season stop during the second half of the season.  Sage has expressed a big interest in the invitation but as of this stories posting neither him or Cody Teel have accepted the offer.

The Rodeo Round Up will continue to monitor this situation and will bring you up to date on any news or acceptances that have been reported.  I also have a request in to the PBR’s CEO Jim Haworth and if I get a statement from him I will add it to this story at a later date once I receive it.  Please keep checking back to the Rodeo Round Up for continuing coverage regarding the invitations and any acceptances that pertain to it!
