As The PBR Season Draws To A Close The World Champion Battle Heats Up!!

PBR page pictureThe Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series season came to a close this past weekend with the 26th event of the season as the “Cooper Tires Take the Money and Ride presented by Jack Daniel’s” stop rolled into the Tucson Convention Center in Arizona.  After the lights were dimmed on Saturday night the focus turned to the upcoming 2015 PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada in just two short weeks.  The world championship race is shaping up to, once again, be one for the ages and one that you will not want to miss a second of during the five-day evnet held inside the Thomas & Mack Center October 21st through the 25th!

If you want to talk about a very unique season on the tour your first thought would have to go to the guy who is undoubtedly one of the most well known bull riders in the sport and is definately a fan favorite, J.B. Mauney.  Many times throughout this season the fans of the PBR have watched this bull rider be bruised and battered, not knowing if his season would be over or how hurt he would be.  As we all watched the CBS Sports Network to see any updates we kept seeing nothing but pure cowboy grit and try and encouraging news regarding this past PBR World Champion.

This past weekend in Tuscon, Arizona was yet another knotch in his belt and stood atop the shark cage after winning his fourth PBR Built Ford Tough Series event of the season.  Mauney has been chasing his dream of being crowned World Champion again for a second time and made a statement that he will bring into the PBR World Finals in two weeks by distancing himself from the others as the world number one by over 1,200 points.  This will be one to watch and it will be good to have an American World Champion once again.  I have a feeling that this could become a reality once again in 2015 if Mauney can carry his late season momentum into the World Finals later this month!
